Something Wonderful

Thanksgiving holidays. Finally read my first P.G. Wodehouse novel, Something New, and it was absolutely wonderful. Right now, I feel like this is the best thing I've ever read in my entire life. What I love about this book and the couple of short stories (The Man Upstairs) by Wodehouse I've read is the sweet innocent charm they have. I don't have the ability to describe it. In film, probably Wallace and Gromit in The Wrong Trousers has the same kind of charm and humor. Though it's not in the same league, the movie A Christmas Story has it too. And maybe the Anne of Green Gables series even though they aren't funny books. Oh, and Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes too though they feature dead bodies. What's also remarkable about Something New is what an incredibly light, frothy, effortless 200 page read it is.
